A Couple of Examples...

Small Business Branding Example

Brand Creation: LondonBooksLovers.com is a website that keeps londoners up to date with the latest book reviews and literary events in the capital.

We were asked to help them build and design their website and create a brand identity.

Using a graphic representation of an open book, we created an emblem that used the two centre pages folding over to meet in the middle to form the shape of a heart.

Stationary/Marketing: We created a special thin business card that also doubled up as a London Book Lovers' bookmark.

Using a variety of designs on the front, this was then used as both a tradtional business card, as well as a simple and clever marketing tool.

Website:We carried the theme of an open book through to the design and layout of the website.

This helped us create a unique and engaging site full of rich content whilst maintaining an intimate look and feel.

Small Business Branding Example 5

Brand Creation: Shopfix are a Retail Maintenance company who needed a website and brand creating.

We created a piece of branding that was integral to the name of the company.

Using the letters ‘f’ and the 'i' in Shopfix we formed a wrench turning a nut (the dot of the ‘i’), thus adding a simple illustration of the type of service they provide, whilst creating a clear brand, unique to Shopfix alone.

Implementation:With very little content to display on the website we needed to create interest within the design itself.

In order to make the site a little more engaging, we suggested an interactive toolbox idea to bring the simple information provided to life and help create some great stand out from other similar maintenance service websites.

Brief: Munchkins Kids Cooking had decided to expand and wanted to open up a cookery school called Blackheath Cooks for adults as well as for kids.

They needed the design of a new brand and website for Blackheath Cooks as well as development of their existing brand: Munchkins.

Small Business Branding Example 2

Solution Part 1: First, the Munchkins logo was made simpler – removing the photograph of the apple and replacing it with a more ‘child-like’ version.

This helped add more fun to the brand as well as positioning it more clearly in the ‘kids’ catering category.

Solution Part 2: Then, for the new Blackheath Cooks logo, we carried the green of the Munchkins logo over to add a level of consistency.

The style of the ‘chef’s hat icon’ for Blackheath Cooks and the style of the ‘apple/kid icon’ for Munchkins were also developed together to add a consistent look and feel.

Brief: Redesign the brand and website for Gaucho – a TV production company.

The client wanted the new logo to be more stylish, less cartoon like and adaptable across a wide range of media.

It also needed to incorporate two new ‘sub-brands’: Gaucho Film and Gaucho Broadcast.

Small Business Branding Example 9

Solution: There needed to be some similarity kept with the existing design, so we maintained the general colour scheme and developed the ‘TV screen’ idea to form a more simple and stylised version of the logo.

We also added an indent to create a very subtle ‘G’ shape with the frame as well as redesigning the type.
